Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist individuals with developmental disabilities who are eligible for services with the development of a Person-Centered Plan (PCP).��This position will monitor the quality of services provided and serve as an advocate, on behalf of eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition, this position will assist individuals and families with obtaining access for entry into the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) system. This position will be responsible for making recommendations of eligibility, or ineligibility, as well as for ranking individuals and cases for the Program Supervisor. Such rankings will be established in terms of the severity of the situation and the priority of service. This position may be assigned duties which require operation of a motor vehicle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One year of administrative staff or professional work in a health care setting. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
