What you'll do:
- Perform simple and repetitive clerical, printing, and mail related tasks.
- Compose routine correspondence; proofreads and/or finalizes letters, memorandums, reports, or other documents for approval and/or signature.
- Establish and maintain filing systems.
- Prepare records for storage and/or archiving.
- Prepare purchase and supply requisitions, personnel and/or payroll records, time and leave records, expense accounts, or other program or agency documents.
- Arrange travel and accommodations.
- Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
- Serve as receptionist or information clerk, assisting fellow employees and the public accordingly.
- Enter and update information in automated systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Knowledge of general office practices. Ability to maintain clerical records and operate basic office equipment. Ability to interact on the telephone or in person with the public.
Qualifications
Six or more months of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Less than one year of related experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
(15 earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.)
