Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is searching for a IT Help Desk Coordinator to join out IS&T team!
In a Help Desk environment, will provide technical support for Health and Human Services in the areas of computer systems, products and services.
Effective July 1, 2023, the pay rate will be $19.942 - $29.397 per hour. Pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.

- Provide IT Help Desk support as a member of the Help Desk Team. The Help Desk provides support to a large number of Agency staff and external partners performing a large variety of duties.
- Receiving and fulfilling customer requests.
- Answering customer questions, IT issue troubleshooting and problem resolution, provisioning and onboarding new users, and assigning access to users as roles change.
- Support is provided for both local and remote users operating a variety of technologies including desktops, laptops, network connectivity and cell phones.
REQUIREMENTS: One year of post high school coursework or vocational/technical training in computer science, data processing operations, information technology, management information systems, network/ telecommunications systems, AND one year of experience either in installing and using software applications or operating data processing systems, or in instructing others in the use of these applications or systems. Equivalent combination of education and experience in the areas described above may substitute for these requirements.
PREFERRED: One year of more experience in an IT customer service roll. Experience with a wide variety of IT software, hardware, networking, and telephony technologies. Experience with provisioning and onboarding new users.
OTHER: Hours for this position are Monday - Friday, hours flexible between 7 AM - 6 PM
Strong customer service skills. Ability to work with individuals with varying IT knowledge and skills. Ability to coordinate with other teams. Good troubleshooting skills. Good time management skills.
