What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custody Mediation Program Assistant position at State of North Carolina?
SALARY GRADE: Grade 14
The Custody Mediation Program Assistant provides administrative and office management support to the Custody and Visitation Mediator in Cumberland County in accordance with G.S. 50-13.1 for cases involving custody/visitation.
Responsibilities include maintaining client and program records, logging and compiling data, preparing and maintaining legal documents, maintaining court calendar of incoming cases and case reviews, and notifying appropriate parties of same.
Skills in: word processing; grammar and punctuation; and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to: apply specific rules and regulations to process and maintain records and documents; gather and report statistical information; transcribe material into correct form and to use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling; schedule and coordinate a variety of appointments and meetings; handle situations constructively, confidentially and with professional demeanor; listen attentively with tact and diplomacy; and effectively use computer software available to the office.
