What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Service Division Collections Legal Secretary position at State of Utah?
- Collaborating closely with the DWS Legal Counsel and collectors to resolve legal issues by maintaining legal queues and logs.
- Processing new legal assignments and promptly following up on legal actions.
- Processing new legal assignments and promptly following up on legal actions.
- Preparing and filing legal documents with courts, constables, and/or sheriffs.
- Answering the unit phone.
- Obtaining and maintaining a Notary Public Certification.
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following minimum qualifications:
- Experience working as a Legal Secretary.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google platform applications.
- Excellent customer service skills, both in person and through phone or written communication.
- A team-oriented mindset with a demonstrated history of reliability and dependability.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new programs/processes as needed to manage workload and assist coworkers.
- Capability of handling highly confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
