State Supply Company is West Michigan’s Premiere Power Transmission Distributor. We carry the best brands in the Industry Dodge Bearings, Dodge Gearing, Baldor Motors, Diamond Chain and Martin Sprockets. We are Seeking an Industrial Outside Sales Representative. Responsibilities:
- Manage a specified territory including daily travel.
- Call on customers for regular territory sales growth and through canvassing.
- Project growth annually and as needed throughout the year.
- Retain and service existing customers.
- Establish relationships with customers to gain confidence in SSC as their number one source for our power transmission products.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to learn and market new products.
- Educate and influence customers on the products we supply.
- Assist customers in problem solving issues for difficult applications.
- Supply customers pricing and delivery of product.
- Create and maintain long lasting partnerships with customers.
Education and Experience:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years in a sales environment, or in industrial supply.
- Self-motivated and highly focused on sales results.
- Strong basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Works well both individually and in a team environment.
- Travel as needed within an assigned sales territory.
- Possess the ability to work efficiently and effectively with customers and coworkers
