Job Summary: The Store Cashier plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $10-$12 per hour based on experience and performance. Pay rate will increase based on performance.
Responsibilities:
Warmly greet customers upon their store entry, ensuring a friendly atmosphere. Provide prompt and efficient service while expressing gratitude to customers.
Operate an electronic cash register to process customer purchases accurately. Handle cash transactions, provide correct change, and manage merchandise returns and exchanges.
Perform cash drawer reconciliation during shift changes.
Utilize specialized equipment for processing various products, including credit card transactions, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
Verify customer identification for restricted sales.
Monitor and restock food service supplies like cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, and stirrers.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, following appropriate cleaning procedures for all areas.
Stock shelves and coolers, ensuring proper rotation and front-facing of merchandise. Remove damaged or expired items and price merchandise as per the price book.
Accept vendor deliveries in compliance with company guidelines.
Be prepared to take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet store operational requirements.
Employee may also be required to perform fingerprint verification and tend to Amusement Room operations (attendant).
