What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mover/Helper position at Statesboro Transfer & Storage?
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking Movers to join our team. As a Mover, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving household or commercial goods from one location to another.
**Duties:**
- Load and unload items from trucks or other vehicles
- Secure items in the truck to prevent damage during transit
- Drive trucks to transport goods to the destination
- Assist with packing and unpacking items as needed
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in moving, commercial driving, or related field preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Experience driving delivery trucks, tractor-trailers, or forklifts is a plus
- Customer service skills for interacting with clients during moves
**Requirements:**
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK. We do work on military installments.
