The Opportunity:
The Transportation Payables Specialist plays a vital role in the financials of movement of freight for our customers. This role will be responsible for auditing invoices, entering invoices for payment, and working with our internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. You will be instrumental in supporting our accounting functions along with providing support in other areas as needed.
Responsibilities-
- Review, analyze, and audit invoices in the AP system.
- Work closely with other teams to resolve any billing issues
- Respond to emails within 48 hours of receipt depending on which inbox you are tasked to work (AP Inbox, billing mod, or AP International)
- Create detailed noted for carriers on statement of accounts and follow up with our vendors to ensure billing discrepancies are fixed
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience in accounting or logistics is preferred but not required
