Steamcon Inc. is looking for a self-motivated individual looking to have a dynamic career in an industry where every day brings diverse challenges.

Steamcon Inc. is looking for a leak sealing technician/sales representative with extensive experience working successfully within plant environments to sell our leak sealing service in our existing territory and to join our safety-conscious team! Our sales representative/technician is responsible for interacting with various customers to increase company presence and sales in an assigned geographic area.

Essential function and responsibility

· A mechanical background is preferred.

· Knowledge of instrumentation is a requirement.

· Previous work experience in an industrial or plant environment an asset

· Clean 2-year driving record.

· Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices alerting others regarding potential hazards on and not pertaining to your scope of work.

  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to Steamcon Inc.’s Core Values
  • Performs leak repair operations that may include any of the following techniques and tasks:
  • Drill and tap of components.
  • Wire wrap and banding
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, and tape measures, to obtain complex design criteria.
  • Various Clamp and enclosure installation
  • Measuring Complex geometries of components
  • Maintain on-call status with the ability to respond to customers rapidly and travel
  • Performs appropriate documentation and administrative procedures as required on a job-to-job basis.
  • Willingness to take direction from supervisory and lead personnel.
  • Adhere to quality procedures and demonstrate a strong safety culture.

Skill, knowledge, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Exposure and experience with online leak repair
  • Must be able to pass routine and random drug screening.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice
  • Must be able to understand, speak, and write English
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and repair work preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Have obtained or can obtain OSHA 10 And OSHA 30 certifications.

Work Conditions

  • Position is based out of a branch or site location with a geographic responsibility
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant or industrial atmosphere
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and customer personnel
  • Working around production machinery with extreme heat, and noise levels
  • May be required to work in or near extreme hot or cold environments.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection on a per-job basis
  • May be required to travel out of town periodically

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and climb throughout industrial areas including steps and ladders
  • Ability to work on elevated or hard-to-reach surfaces and areas in various locations throughout industrial facilities.
  • Must be able to manage time and schedule weekly and be able to travel when necessary to offsite locations
  • Excellent communication skills, must follow Standard Operating Procedures, evaluate each job scope, and mitigate all safety hazards with proper safety precautions and personal protective equipment.
  • This starting position is for an apprentice, and a mechanical background is preferred.

· You've always been mechanically inclined and are happiest working with your hands.

· You can use any hand tool and are comfortable with all air tools.

· Fitness isn't a concern; you can climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs

· Able and willing to work in all different weather conditions and industrial environments.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

  • Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
