Steampunk is searching for a Project Manager to support a government customer on site Washington, DC. The primary responsibilities for the position are to support all activities that ensure execution of the Independent Risk Assessment (IRA) Program. Task include project management, requirements gathering, process design, documentation, and agile leadership for IRA modernization projects. The nature of the work requires that you bring leadership, initiative, organization, responsibility, customer service skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced, fluid business environment. You will be expected to communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organization and be able to solve practical problems as well as exercise sound judgement with regards to sensitive and confidential information.

- Test results or analyses, security control implementation and/or pertinent issues relating to the project
- Attend SDLC project meetings for assigned projects
- Review system business requirements to capture design and security implementations in written form
- Provide quality assurance of all IRA program activities.
- Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR Bacherlor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR 9 years of relevant experience with no degree.
- Industry-standard security certification required, with one of the following preferred
- Certified Scrum Master (SCM)
- SAFE Agile
- Certified Product Owner
- Microsoft Certified Power Platform App Maker Associate
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications preferred.
- Applies extensive knowledge of a variety of the project managment field’s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure operation of IRA program
- Extensive specialized knowledge of agile principles
- Specialized knowledge and experience with evaluating requirements and experience with security assessment, and analysis.
- Knowledge and experience with the information security and assurance principles (e.g., Defense-in-depth) and associated supporting technologies.
- Ability to assess and weigh current and evolving security threats in an operational environment.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience providing Risk Assessment or Project Managment support to DHS
- Experience supporting in Agile and DevOps environments.
