What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Step by Step Child Care Center, Inc.?
Looking for motivated individuals who love to work with children, teaching and watching them grow.
Shorewood early childhood center is looking to hire a infant/toddler teacher that is hard working, reliable and looking for a career in the early childhood field. Must have a high school diploma/GED, ECE degree. Experience a plus but not required. Must meet teacher requirements per DCFS.
When you join our team at Step by Step you will:
Teach day to day classroom operations. Implement curriculum, follow all company and DCFs policies and procedures.
Supervise the safety and well-being of the children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
Serve as a role model for children.
Create a safe, nurturing environment for the children.
Model appropriate behaviors.
Required Skills:
Must be able to pass background check through fingerprinting.
DCFS physical with proof of immunizations and TB test.
Various training's such as, First Aid/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Food Handler and SIDS and Shaken Baby.
Follow all DCFS standards.
Comply with NAC accreditation standards.
Cultivate positive relationships and communication with families, children and co-workers.
