What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at Stephens Default?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review daily margin activity and NETX360 Pershing generated margin calls and send notifications to account reps and clients.
- Receive documentation for account transfer request. Validate that all required information is provided and accurate. Verify that all needed supporting documents are included. Initiate the request and follow up on transfers that do not process.
- Review requests for free delivery of securities to other broker dealers. Validate that the required signatures and approvals have been received. Initiate the delivery request in NetX360.
- Respond to questions regarding withdrawals of securities and cash from customer margin accounts. Initiate cash and stock entries in margin accounts as necessary.
- Assist and answer questions from sales associates concerning margin accounts, short sells, transfers, options or any other direct questions concerning customer accounts.
- Assist Retail Clearing department with duties as needed.
- Perform other task as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of job related experience
- An equivalent combination of education, training or experience

- Fundamentals of the Securities Industry
