Accounts Receivable/ AR Collections Representative/ B2B Collections Experience Required

Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is hiring for the position of a Billing/AR Collections Representative. We’re seeking a reliable team player, who is cross trained and willing to participate in all aspects of the accounting cycle, with a primary focus on AR Collections and Billing support.

Essential Functions:

• The primary function would be daily analysis of AR aging and collection efforts in contacting customers that are over their credit terms for payment or payment status in a firm but pleasant customer service-oriented manner.
• Organization and documentation of customer collection efforts in our operations software, including a well-planned follow up schedule or calendar.
• Coordinate and communicate with AR team related to customers that are over their credit terms.
• Adhere to internal protocols and contractual obligations as it applies to specific payor requirements.
• Includes communicating efficiently and effectively with the customer via phone, email, and letters.
• Research past-due accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Accurately post payments and partial payments in our operations software.
• Maintain direct communication with the Management team.
• Provide back-up support for any accounts needing to be sent to our collection attorneys.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of heavy collections experience related to business-to-business invoices.
• Strong attention to detail and high transaction and invoice volume experience necessary.
• Fast and accurate data processing and time management skills.
• Prior experience with a transportation company a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication as well as a high level of organizational skills a must.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office products, a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

• $18.00-$22.00/hour (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm)
