The Transport Operations Manager for Tampa has a key role in our business, supervising the daily operations of the branches including office operations. This position requires prior relevant managerial experience. This is a full-time, salaried role with one of the most successful privately held towing and heavy haul companies in the country, and pay is commensurate with prior experience.
JOB ESSENTIALS:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of transport operations.
- Ensure any priorities are completed.
- Monitor employee performance, issues, and achievements.
- Handle damage claims.
- Handle lot issues as they arise.
- Be accessible to all employees.
- Maintain a focus on cost control and time management by monitoring and analyzing all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies, including providing recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards as well as with all applicable laws/regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) Class A required
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Prior towing or transport driving experience required.
- Must be familiar with light, medium, and heavy truck operations.
- Must be a goal-oriented leader that thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate jobs to ensure all calls are completed most efficiently.
- Must have problem-solving skills, and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
