Steps Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive programs to enhance a child's independence. By combining highly-trained behavior therapists, transparent data collection, and developmentally appropriate programming, we will create a program our clients can trust— with results that are evident. We provide client services primarily in San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, San Mateo, Foster City, and Redwood City.

We are always seeking qualified Program Directors who are dedicated to helping others and making a difference in a child's life. This position is non-exempt (hourly), with the pay range falling between $35,000 - $50,000 annually, dependent on experience, education level, and individual caseload size and selection.

**Please note this position is not fully remote and requires select client services to be provided in person.**

As a Program Director, you are responsible for designing and implementing behavior intervention programs to young children with special needs and providing families with training to reinforce learned skills. In addition, you are responsible for providing support, training, and feedback to Behavior Technicians.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provide 1:1 home or school-based intensive behavioral therapy
  2. Carry out individualized lessons and behavior plans as directed by the supervisor
  3. Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training, and verbal behavior
  4. Facilitate social skills training
  5. Record child's progress and graph data, update data sheets
  6. Communicate with supervisor regarding child's progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications
  7. Attend team meetings as needed, as well as internal and external professional workshops
  8. Communicate with supervisor regarding child's progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications
  9. Work collaboratively with teammates, parents, and other professionals
  10. Maintain organized program binder and complete required paperwork
  11. Maintain agreed upon schedule for the child, arrive to scheduled sessions on time, and notify supervisor and families of any schedule changes
  12. Make reasonable attempts to provide make-up sessions or find substitutes for missed sessions
  13. Maintain client confidentiality
  14. Perform other related duties as required

Physical Demands

  1. Ability to regularly stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  1. Enrollment in Master's program and a desire to pursue a career in Applied Behavior Analysis
  2. Enrollment in a BACB approved course sequence preferred
  3. Experience implementing programs and working in the field of ABA for a minimum of 1 year
  4. Commitment to developing and leading teams
  5. Outstanding verbal and written communication
  6. Ability to keep organized with meticulous attention to detail
  7. Employment conditional upon satisfactory background check
