Sterile Services Co. (SSC) is hiring a Material Coordinator to support a federal customer in Annapolis, MD. The Material Coordinator is a logistics professional responsible for the safe and compliant handling, tracking, and management of hazardous materials and waste within a Department of Defense environment. This role is critical to ensuring military installations and operations comply with all applicable federal, state, and DoD regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage HAZMAT supply chain, inventory, and CHRIMP functions in a DoD environment.
- Receive, inspect, document, label, and barcode Government and customer-owned HAZMAT in Government Designated Systems (GDS) in accordance with FIAR requirements.
- Ensure only HAZMAT approved on the customer Approved Use List (AUL) is managed and issued.
- Distribute and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and process issue transactions for HAZMAT and empty containers.
- Perform shelf-life management in accordance with DoDI 4140.27.
- Certify HAZMAT for transportation and support spill response when the contractor is at fault.
- Develop and follow Government-required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in Pollution Prevention (P2) programs and support locker assessments.
- Conduct daily reviews of HAZMAT Management Tool (HMM Tool) work queues, implement corrective actions, and maintain a minimum of 95% inventory accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years logistical experience, with at least one (1) year in a Navy or Marine Corps environment.
- Must have and maintain a current, valid state driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Government Designated Software Systems (Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), HMM Tool, Web Federal Logistics Information System-WEBFLIS)
- Knowledge of HAZMAT Information Resource System (HMIRS), and Shelf-Life Extension System (SLES),
Preferred Qualifications

Required Education & Certificates
- Must have obtained a High School diploma or GED.
- Must complete and maintain DOT Hazmat Employee training compliant with 49 CFR 172.704 (General Awareness, Function-Specific, Safety, Security Awareness), with recurrent training at least every 3 years.
