Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid – 2 days remote)
Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire (Expected conversion after 6 months)
Pay Rate: $26–$29/hour

Sterling Engineering is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a corporate finance department supporting multiple business units within a growing manufacturing organization. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity, designed to convert to a permanent position within six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AR processes across several business entities under the MCE corporate umbrella
- Accurately process a high volume of invoices (please note your average invoice volume when applying)
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies in payments
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections
- Assist with month-end close activities; flexibility to stay later during close periods may be required
- Operate within ERP systems including Tribute and P21 (company is moving toward full P21 adoption)
- Prepare and provide AR reports directly to the Controller
- Maintain clear, organized, and up-to-date financial records
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of AR experience, ideally in a multi-entity or corporate environment
- Comfortable handling high-volume invoice processing
- Experience using ERP systems (Tribute and/or P21 strongly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must be local to Plymouth, MN or Pittsburgh, PA and available for hybrid in-office schedule
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills
