As an Inside CDL Driver Recruiter, you will be a key contributor to building and maintaining a skilled and reliable CDL driver workforce. Your efforts will help ensure the company's success and growth by consistently sourcing and hiring qualified drivers who adhere to safety and compliance standards. *Hourly pay Bonus structure* JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities Candidate Sourcing and Outreach: Utilize 10thStreet ATS online database, and referrals, to review sourced potential CDL drivers Initiate contact with candidates through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods to assess their interest and qualifications Provide information, build rapport and influence potential drivers to drive for Stevens Transport Inc Candidate Screening and Evaluation: Review DOT, State, Local and Company requirements to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and compliance with CDL requirements. Interview pre-qualified candidates according to minimum hiring requirements of Stevens Transport and DOT Conduct in depth phone interviews to evaluate candidates' driving skills, work history, and alignment with company standards Compliance and Documentation: Ensure candidates meet the company's hiring criteria and regulatory requirements by verifying driving records, criminal records and employment history Maintain accurate records of candidate documentation and information. Interviewing and Assessment: Coordinate and conduct in-depth interviews with candidates to assess their practical decision making skills, professionalism, and commitment to safety. Administer relevant tests or assessments to evaluate candidates' abilities. Candidate Selection and Offer: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify the most suitable candidates for available CDL driver positions. Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate compensation packages as needed Onboarding and Training Support: Assist in coordinating the onboarding process for new CDL drivers, including orientation, training, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Scheduling and confirming new hires for orientation and training Reporting and Data Management: Generate and maintain accurate recruitment-related reports, including metrics on candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring outcomes. Utilize recruitment software and databases to manage candidate data efficiently Generating regular and ad-hoc reports as needed by management Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential CDL drivers to build a strong talent network. Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to promote the company and attract talent. Building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates and confirming level of interest throughout the hiring process Ensuring constant communication with applicants throughout the recruiting life cycle, including informing them of application status, requesting additional information, verifying questionable results, advising them of approval or denial, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and related tools. Strong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines Ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level management Ability to take initiative Capable of thriving as a team player but also driven by autonomy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred Strong knowledge of CDL requirements, FMCSA regulations, and industry standards Previous experience in recruitment, particularly in CDL driver recruitment or a related role within the transportation or logistics industry Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
