Within our interior door division, our door manufacturing plant in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a versatile, multi-skilled industrial maintenance professional. Reporting to the maintenance manager and with primary responsibility for controls / PLC’s, this team member will perform the full spectrum of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic maintenance tasks necessary to repair, maintain, upgrade, and optimize the performance and continuous availability of metal cutting, stamping, forming machinery and all other equipment, machinery, and systems necessary to the functioning of the plant.
This position requires entry level to a moderate level of experience to carry out various maintenance tasks in the manufacturing environment of our busy warehouse. These tasks troubleshooting and repair of machines, general maintenance of facility, and some electrical and HVAC work.
Essential Functions
- Assist the maintenance manager in the overall maintenance department including corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, parts procurement and storeroom functions.
- Perform maintenance on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) machines, CNC routers, and other machinery.
- Perform basic maintenance of facility including plumbing, electrical, and minor HVAC repairs.
- Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair manufacturing machines, telemetry systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other machines as necessary
- Perform routine pump inspections, quality control and preventative maintenance and servicing as necessary. Test and repair all equipment.
- Create accurate, legible and detailed repair notes in daily log and/or computer system database including accurate part numbers used and equipment serviced.
- Review list of parts needed for service and assist Operations Manager in maintaining supply.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Performs the maintenance and repair of rental fleet trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other yard machinery/inventory.
- Maintenance which may include ability to safely using hand and power tools, welding, fitting fabrication, painting, organization, lawn maintenance (mowing/trimming)
