Project Accountant II | Shared Service | Project Accounting Structure Tone, LLC.
The Project Accountant II reports to Catherine Beirne, Director of Shared Service Project Accounting for Structure Tone, LLC. and Pavarini North East Construction Co., LLC., with operational reporting to the Business Unit Project Accounting Manager. The Project Accountant II oversees the financial activity on select construction projects, from project set-up through project close out in collaboration with the project team.
Key duties and responsibilities for this role include the following:
Project Lifecycle
- Attend project kick-off meetings when
- Provide end-to-end support for all contract
- Participate in project reviews with the project
- Support project teams to develop Cost to Completion Forecasts and Billing
- Work with the project teams to develop general conditions forecasts and monitor actual cost monthly.
- Monitor Change Orders and other potential change items related to project budgets and project costs.
- Work independently to analyze cost and schedule trends on projects, identifying potential budget overruns.
Accounting
- Audit potential change orders for accuracy and
- Monitor sales tax
- Ensure proper revenue recognition by monitoring actual cost against cost to complete
- Analyze revenue recognition issues and coordinate with BU Project Accounting Manager on proposing solutions.
- Determine control points and recommend improvement areas within the
Invoicing
- Review client contracts for billing requirements, allowable markups, fee structure, retainage, waivers, tax requirements, shared savings.
- Manage subcontractor progress billings and documents for compliance and timely
- Review and post subcontractor monthly progress billings
- Manage subcontractor
- Maintain billing contract format (G702, G703 format)
- Prepare system generated client requisitions and provide necessary
- Monitor accounts receivable and support collection
The desired candidate will have effective communication and analytical skills.
- 3 years of relevant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related
- Construction industry experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Salary : $70,200 - $88,900
