Opportunity and Position Summary:

This asset management role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the two asset classes in greatest demand: multifamily and industrial. The multifamily portfolio includes development and operating assets across the Western Region (including: CA, CO, AZ, and WA), while the industrial portfolio is focused on Southern California. The candidate would directly support a Senior Vice President and be part of a collaborative team working closely with other asset managers, as well as portfolio management and acquisition teams. There is significant growth potential for the right candidate! This is both a qualitative and quantitative position, strong math and written skills are necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial models for internal property valuations, dispositions, recapitalizations, lease analyses and waterfalls for joint-venture investments. Assist in preparation, review and execution of annual property budgets and business plans
• Help develop and execute asset strategy to maximize value and meet portfolio objectives
• Accompany Asset Managers on property visits and market tours, as needed
• Provide oversight and develop strong relationships with third-party property managers, leasing brokers and joint-venture partners
• Work alongside asset managers overseeing construction of ground-up development and redevelopment opportunities
• Prepare presentation materials for Investment Committee, as needed

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong academic credentials and BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics or related area required
• 3-5 years of real estate/finance experience, preferably including one or more of the following: portfolio analysis, commercial real estate valuation, cash flow forecasting, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, debt
• Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of discounted cash flow analysis in Argus Enterprise and/or Excel required
• Strong writing skills as well as verbal interpersonal/communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently
• Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility and accountability

Compensation:

Competitive. The base pay scale for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 annually. Stockbridge’s base pay scale depends on geographic location, business line, years of experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
