What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fastener Counter Sales Representative position at Stone Alley Hardware and Industrial Supply?
Stone Alley Hardware and Industrial Supply is a fastener, tool and hardware supply company located in Frankfort, IN. We are looking to grow our team by adding a counter sales associate.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers on a daily basis
- Assist customer in locating the right product for their need or their job
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point of sale system
- Receive and check in shipments from vendors
- Restocking products and inventory management
- Picking and packaging customer orders in a timely manner
- Communicate with customers regarding orders
- Generate orders with vendors to keep product available
- Assist in rental equipment scheduling and transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Abilities:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to reach and lift overhead
- Understand computer systems and cash registers
- Provide customers with exceptional service
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manners
Job Details
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1 hour lunch
What We Are Looking For
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to work with the public.
- Be self-motivated and able to work alone
- Be willing to learn about the products carried in the store and the vendors which provide them
