What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Supervised Group Living (SGL) position at Stone Belt?
Stone Belt, a leading care provider in the South-Central Indiana, is in search of an extremely detail-oriented individual to be responsible for the development, maintenance and direction of programs serving adults with disabilities in the area of supervised group living and for the supervision and development of staff. The Director of Supervised Group Living provides leadership to teams, demonstrating knowledge of all aspects of service provision and regulatory standards including CARF, Department of Education, State Board of Health, Bureau of Quality Improvement, and Medicaid.
Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of administrative experience in a social service agency, or related field; or an equivalent combination of educational and work experience. Additionally, you must possess training and experience as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) that includes: at least one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities AND at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, including but not limited to sociology, psychology, special education, or rehabilitation counseling.
In this role, you must also have the ability to manage the program services facilities and programs, and implement the administrative and operational policies that apply. Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, and detail orientation required. Ability to establish/maintain accurate data collection for program statistics and billing and to organize and monitor a complex system of program documentation a must. Successful experience in supervised group living, supervision/direction highly preferred.
