The Director of Nursing is a Registered Nurse responsible for the administration of the nursing department in a Long-Term Care Facility. This includes the overall planning and organizing of activities and staffing of the nursing department, participating in the financial management of the department including budgetary planning, equipment and supplies procurement and expense monitoring and responsibility. Other functions include, but are not limited to, all items related to the nursing department, including performance improvement activities, staff meetings, and implementation of new processes. This position is 24 hours, seven day per week responsibility for the functioning of the department. This person is a member of the nursing administrative team and reports to the Administrator of the Long-Term Care Facility.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Mississippi
Must be able to pass a criminal background check as required by the state of Mississippi
