OVERALL PURPOSE Stonehage Fleming US LLC (“SFUS”) is one of the two North American offices, based in Center City Philadelphia. The office offers its expertise in international and United States tax, compliance, trust and estate planning and administration and related family office services for high and ultra-high-net-worth private clients and private investors. This main purpose of the role is to provide direct support to assigned family relationships. The position reports to SFUS’s Senior Associate – FO and works closely with other members of the service team.

Key Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Initiate and work through to completion, with FO Senior Associate, the intake and on-boarding of all relationships


and related services.

  • Maintain internal project and client management system and all related informational and document files for all


relationships.

  • Establish banking, brokerage, private equity and various other types of accounts/investments for relationships.
  • Initiate and monitor large domestic and international transactions both in USD and foreign currency on an ad hoc and


reoccurring basis.

  • Establish companies/entities, obtain employer identification numbers and file required annual state/other jurisdictional


reports.

  • Perform annual internal audit of all relevant relationships with a formal report of the same to FO Senior Associate and


FO Partner for review and sign-off.

  • Attend to all disbursements, receipts and other transactions through to completion.
  • Compile, assemble and process all relevant tax return and/or other compliance information for use in preparing and


filing required returns and other disclosures at the direction of the tax department.

  • Review and issue financial reports for assigned relationships.
  • Actively communicate with clients and client advisors, systematically coordinating no less than twice annually a review


with each and the FO Partner.

  • Prepare related notes and reports and execute on follow-up systematically complete annual fiduciary reviews of all


relationships.

  • Complete ad hoc relationship special projects
  • Attend to all of the above with a sense of urgency, judgment, and problem solving, risk-mitigation and expectation


management.

  • Provide general administrative support and assistance, such as filing and archiving


Defined Terms:

  • Relationship: Assigned client relationships, inclusive of all related entites (trusts, corporations, LLC’s etc.) and


individuals.

  • Services: Administative, fiduciary or family office services as applicable.
  • Financial reports: Trust, company or other accountings of varying frequency.


Qualifications & Experience

  • College degree and a mimimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial services environment.
  • Experience working in a client services oriented environment.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Previous work experience in the trust and company industry would be an advantage.
  • A second language would be an advantage, but not a requirement.
