What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Stonehurst Manor?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests during busy times and manage waitlists
- Use the POS system (BentoBox) to manage seating arrangements and track table availability
- Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Familiarity with BentoBox or similar restaurant management software is a plus
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills to manage seating arrangements and waitlists effectively
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members
