What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Stoughton Trailers?
Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, this position will be responsible for the planning and execution of material flow within a manufacturing setting to support customer demands and the production build plans in order to achieve customer satisfaction. This position will be responsible for the execution of required work orders and purchase orders in support of the defined scope of the responsibilities outlined.
Release of purchase orders to suppliers on a timely basis in accordance with lead-times, and monitoring delivery schedules.Release of required work orders to manufacturing that will align with the production build plans, ensuring that supporting components are available.Work closely with master scheduling and materials leadership on the production build plans, which include ensuring that forecasts are current within the business system to execute planning functions. Monitor open work orders and purchase orders via ERP exception messages and execute actions in accordance.
