What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier - Hammond position at Strack and Van Til?
Summary : As a Cashier, your primary responsibility will include operating a cash register to accurately ring up our customers' grocery orders. You will be responsible for tendering multiple forms of payment while ensuring our customers experience a friendly, efficient checkout process. You will interact with a high-volume of customers in a fast-paced environment ensuring that all of their grocery shopping needs were met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cashier activities :
- Greet customers
- Scan grocery order
- Process coupons and collect payment
- Operate cash register and scanner
Other activities :
Knowledge Requirements : A positive customer service attitude & pleasant personality, effective memory skills, good hand eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.
