When you assist at Strand you aren't just folding towels and helping out the stylists, you are getting hands-on experience in a high functioning, fast paced environment. You are learning customer service skills, catching on to new techniques, and being surrounded by motivated stylists that educate themselves regularly - that are up to date on all the latest trends and most importantly, have also been an assistant before starting their successful career at Strand!
We are a departmentazlied salon that lets you put all your time and effort into either cutting OR coloring. You aren't being forced to do color when your passion is cutting, and you aren't being forced to do haircuts when your passion is coloring. You will become a specialist in whichever you have the most passion for.
When you become an assistant at Strand, you are starting a long-term career with us. Once you have assisted with us for a certain amount of time, you will move onto getting individual education with owners Jen (for future colorist specialists) & Paul (for future cutting specialists). Once your education is complete you will take models on the salon floor, perfecting your craft. Once you are done with that you officially become a full-time stylist!
