Job Title: Temporary Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Executive Director of Finance and Operations Evaluated by: Executive Director of Finance and Operations
Job Goal: The Temporary Part-Time Administrative Assistant will provide short-term clerical and project-based support to the Payroll and Human Resources departments. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information. The position will assist with routine HR and payroll functions, as well as special projects, during a period of increased need.

- Ability to follow Board of Education policies, District policies, and department procedures, and direction from Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll data entry, verification, and records management.
- Support the processing of new hire paperwork, employee changes, and personnel files.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including digital and physical files.
- Assist with tracking benefit enrollment and documentation.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and forms as needed.
- Complete administrative projects and clerical tasks as assigned.
- Perform general office support duties including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications / Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Bonding, and or Testing Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in administrative, payroll, or support roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands: Between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis and 10 pounds on a frequent basis, occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, overhead reaching and fine motor activity, frequently sitting, standing, walking, balancing, reaching at desk and floor level, firm and simple grasping. The work requires constant seeing, hearing, and talking.
Work Environment: Work is performed in office, classroom and/or other educational setting.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Days / Terms of Employment: Flexible; 15-20 hours per week.
Salary : $16 - $25
