Job Description
This Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintaining and improving Company facilities and equipment. Many of the tasks performed will support the work order system, preventative maintenance program, parts management, and planning and scheduling.
1. Maintain part & supply inventory in shop and warehouses
2. Inventory and purchase consumables for shop & production equipment
3. Maintain part inventory database
4. Source common parts from local supplier for lower cost than OEM
5. Determine validity, classify, and prioritize Work Order Requests
6. Manage the Work Order Process
7. Manage relavent reporting to the Production Team
8. Assign and issue PM work orders weekly
9. Inspect equipment to ensure PM program is effective
10. Track repairs and modify PM program as needed
11. Identify and purchase parts needed for work orders
12. Identify and purchase parts for equipment repairs
13. Coordinate with production scheduler to schedule repairs
14. Manage external services for inspections, calibrations, PMs, repairs
15. Research and create PMs for new equipment

- Must possess good analytical skills.

- Must be able to communicate with other employees in a clear and professional manner.
- Must possess good problem solving skills.
Additional Information
Physical: Sitting/Walking/Climbing as required in a manufacturing environment. On your feet for most of the shift with occasional lifting climbing stairs and ladders including rail cars and trucks. The employee will also be required to use hands, arms and fingers. The physical requirements are they must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in small spaces, and work with heights.
Sensory: Good Listening Skills; Public speaking abilities to communicate with both hourly and salaried personnel. Along with the listening skills you have to be able to determine the purpose of what you’re listening to and prioritize accordingly. Ability to perform sensory testing on in-process and finished product samples, must be able to distinguish issues from taste, smell or sight of the product.
Mental/Reasoning: Organizational; Decision making ability; Multi-tasking; Must have strong analytical and problem solving abilities to accommodate a quick paced environment (a quick thinker).
