What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preconstruction Coordinator position at STRATICON LLC?
JOB SUMMARY
- Meeting Minutes for all meetings including(Owner Meetings, Subcontractor Meetings, etc.)
- Precon Submittals/RFI's.
- Permitting.
- Project Setup (Trailer, Fence, Signage, Toilets, Dumpsters, etc.)
- Assist with the creation of scope of works.
- Assemble Subcontracts for execution.
- Assist with creation of Owner Contract Documents.
- Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews construction documents and understands the scope of work to bid.
- Executes take-offs of construction documents.
- Obtains pricing for materials.
- Obtains bids from subcontractors and reviews scope of work to analyze subcontractor’s quotes for the best value.
- Presents cost estimates to meet customer proposals, providing consideration for general and special conditions.
- Prepare weekly calendar and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Informs immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items.
- Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for pricing estimates.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of estimating practices and procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of construction operations preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
