Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 / Hour. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.

Position Summary
Position works in Quality Control to ensure product specifications are strictly adhered to by performing in-process, and final quality control inspections of products using a microscope and various measurement tools.
Essential Functions And Duties
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Responsible to perform final go/no-go QC inspection and approval
- Record the QC disposition on CAMDB system software
- Assist compilation of inspection reports, records, and trends
- Responsible for visual and dimensional material incoming inspection
- Assist in streamlining Quality Control workflows and documentation
- Assist in customer complaint evaluations
- Read and understand basics safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Responsible for tracking QC equipment (e.g. measurement equipment, gauges, etc..)
- Work closely with Production Supervisors to ensure Quality product
- Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
- Observe and hear warning signs and signals within all areas of the company.
- Stand, Walk, or Sit up to 8 hours a day (with periodic breaks allowed)
- Occasionally push/pull up to 20
- Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
- Wear synthetic gloves for hygiene
- Wear protective eye
- Wear protective hearing
- Work is performed in a medical device manufacturing environment
- The employee may occasionally be exposed to dust
- Based on station assignment, the employee may be exposed to water, heat, cured resins, soap and disinfectants
- The noise level in the work environment is consistently moderate
- The employee will work in a fast-paced, team environment
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years’ experience performing visual inspection using a microscope in a dental manufacturing environment
- 1 years of quality control in an FDA cGMP / ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing environment
- 2 years in Quality Control processes and methods
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) (Straumann willing to pay for Certified Dental Technician (CDT))
- High degree of attention to detail
- Strict, uncompromising adherence to quality standards
- Excellent visual acuity; ability to use a microscope for long periods of time
- Ability to use computers for collecting and logging data; familiar with Microsoft Office productivity software (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of inspection and quality control methods, techniques, and equipment desired
- Knowledge of use of a wide variety of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical measuring equipment
