Finishing Operator

Straus Knitting Mills located in St. Croix Falls WI is seeking a Finishing Operator. First shift hours are Monday through Thursday 6AM to 4:30PM, however, we will accept different schedules based on your needs. The plant is open from 6am to 10:30pm Monday thru Thursday. The starting wage could go up based on experience.

You’ll have a half hour lunch and two paid breaks per shift. You can look forward to free coffee and great quarterly safety incentive meals. Once you’ve completed 90 days you’ll be eligible for healthcare insurance along with dental insurance. We’ll give you eight paid holidays along with two annual paid sick days. You can earn $250.00 a quarter and an additional $1,000.00 for a year in a perfect attendance bonus, and we have a performance based annual profit sharing program. There is also a $500.00 employee of the month bonus and by being awarded employee of the month, your profit sharing bonus increases too. At one year of full-time employment you’ll receive a week of paid vacation and a 401(k) investment opportunity with a match. In your second year you’ll earn two weeks of paid time off in addition to the eight paid holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Custom Finishing Operator Inspector

SUBTITLE: Inspector, Cuff Cutter, Folder, Bandsaw, Ace chop, cal, QMS, sew, Fold collars, racking, roller machine, bias cutter.

REPORTS TO: Finishing Supervisor or Section Leader.

SCOPE OF JOB: Finish products according to procedures, and separate out all bad quality.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.) Follow all Finishing procedures according to Finishing tickets.

2.) Inspecting for bad quality and bringing it to the attention of supervisor/Section leader.

3.) Getting appropriate finishing ticket, inspect according to finishing instructions. Each function will have instructions.

4.) Fill out all paperwork according, keep track of quantity. Fill out SKM quality ticket to be placed in shipments.

5.) Report any maintenance needed to superior/section leader.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1.) Must be able to meet standards posted in area.

2.) Must be able to read and understand tickets.

3.) Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.

4.) Must be able to see fabric clearly.

5.) Must be able to distinguish colors clearly.

6.) Must be able to use tape measure.

7.) Must be able to count.
