What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Music and Dance Teacher position at Stretch-N-Grow of North Houston?
About Us:
Stretch-n-Grow is a leading children’s fitness and enrichment program, bringing high-energy, fun, and educational classes to preschools and childcare centers. We are expanding our team and seeking an enthusiastic Dance & Music Instructor to lead engaging classes for young children! Must be located close to The Woodlands, Spring, Montgomery County. On average we provide 6-12 hours per week.
Our Primary Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 11:30am and then 2:30pm - 4:30pm. If you do not have mornings free, our schedules will likely not work for you.
This position is a regular Dance schedule in the afternoons, with ON-Call for our Music programs in the morning.
- Lead structured dance and music classes for children (infants to 6 years old) in daycare centers and schools.
- Incorporate movement, rhythm, and musical play to promote motor skills and creativity with our provided lesson plans and schedule.
- Follow a provided curriculum while adding your unique energy and personality to the class.
- Communicate professionally with teachers, parents, and administrators at partner schools.
- Maintain a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young students.
- Transport class materials (small instruments, props, etc.) to various locations as needed.
Qualifications:
✔ Passion for working with children and making movement fun!
✔ Background in dance, music, performing arts, early childhood education, or fitness.
✔ Experience teaching groups of young children is a plus!
✔ Reliable transportation – instructors travel between multiple locations.
✔ Clear background check required.
