SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Serves in all post-closing loan servicing functions executed and overseen by the department. Supports commercial loan production teams through courteous, timely, and accurate servicing of the commercial loan portfolio. Has thorough understanding of most types of loans (commercial, agriculture, mortgage, and consumer included) and other related requirements and can independently act to meet those requirements. Works under minimal supervision while supporting the commercial lending functions, having a thorough understanding of regulatory and legal requirements for all bank markets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the bank in a positive, courteous, friendly, and professional manner, including through telephone, email, and other forms of communication.
- Works directly with the loan production officers and assistants to aid in servicing of the commercial loan portfolio. Identifies, tracks, and communicates loan exceptions, as needed.
- Responds to and assists customers with questions on their existing loans.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
- Loads loan to the core system once signed.
- Scans and maintains the signed closing documents and all related file documentation.
- Perfects collateral.
- Accepts and posts loan payments.
- Provides payoffs and release collateral on paid off loans within the regulatory timeline.
- Maintains escrow payments and annual analysis.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Extensive administrative or professional experience in a relevant field that provides the background and experience
- Necessary to guide the bank’s commercial lending portfolio servicing activities in a financially safe and sound manner.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial, agriculture, mortgage, and consumer lending practices.
- Thorough understanding of loan documentation criteria and business objectives
- Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate detailed and complex loan documents.
- Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and business judgment skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and apply to role.
- Detail oriented and well-organized with a high level of flexibility and adaptability enabling success in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task while working on multiple objectives simultaneously. Strong team focus with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
