What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide position at Stride Physical Therapy?
Stride Physical Therapy is a newly opened Private Practice Physical Therapy clinic located in Saint George, UT seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Aide to help us care for our patients! Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain HIPAA standards
- Maintain safety at all times
- Follow guidance of PT
- Ensure safety standards are followed and executed for all patients
Treatment daily tasks
- HEP handouts and scanning to chart
- Stand-by assist and Chaperone
- Assist with completing documentation
- Grade and record scores for Outcome Measures
- Ensure appropriate measure is collected from patient
Patient Care
- Collect and document daily subjective information from patient
- Walk patients through exercise program
- Demonstrate proper performance, cueing through exercises
- Watch and correct form
- Explain purpose of exercise
- Ask questions of PT/PTA as appropriate
- Report to PT
- Assist in ensuring a clear follow up plan/ goals are in place for patient
Modalities
- Demonstrate safe measures with application of ice, heat
- Demonstrate proper set up with Estim, ultrasound
- Proper administration as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
Front desk assistance
- Welcome patients when they arrive
- Schedule patient for future appointments (within authorization limits)
- Answer phones as needed
- Collect copays/deductible payments
Clinic appearance
- Clean treatment area, tables
- Maintain treatment area - proper set up/take down
- Assist with general cleaning: bathrooms, floors, front desk, etc
Unusual circumstances
- Assist with communicating with physician/offices
- Charting assistance
- Late patient management
- Extended appointment management
- Check in with patients that have been left independent at the conclusion of their appointment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
