At Structural Buildings we design and construct a wide array of building types from post-frame, steel-frame, masonry, stud wall frame, SIP panel, and tilt-up concrete; ensuring our ability to provide the best type of building to meet all of our customer’s needs. Job Responsibilities
Primary focus will be on sales of products and services in commercial construction responsible for pricing & contract negotiation, pipeline management, development of relationships within the industry, and handling the end-to-end customer.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's various products and services.
Participate in ongoing training efforts provided by the company.
Follow up on all customer leads in a timely matter; effectively develop assigned territory driving growth and profitability for the company.
Arrange and conduct meetings with the customer to evaluate their needs, wants, building layout, type of materials, job site and future expansion options.
Educate the customer and make recommendations based on their individual needs.
Submit the complete and accurate purchase agreement signed by the customer to the drafting and production departments; ensure all individuals involved agree with the specifics of the purchase.
Work with production scheduling to communicate start and completion dates to the customer.
Perform project estimating based on project scope and requirements developed through customer meetings.
Attend pre-construction meetings at the start of each project with Field Superintendent and Foreman; participate in virtual daily scheduling meetings.
Track the progress of each project, inspect ongoing work, attain permits when necessary, and perform as a hands-on consultant to the customer during construction; facilitate any change orders that may come up.
Responsibilities are not all inclusive and this is a dynamic position that encompasses many facets.
Job Qualifications
Proven work experience as a sales consultant.
General knowledge on construction processes.
Competent with laptops and smart phones; familiar with CRM programs.
Strong communication skills: ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
Ability to embrace change and demonstrate a positive work attitude.
