Work Flexibility: Onsite What you will do: Collaborate with Quality Engineering to provide manufacturing support. Provide manufacturing engineering support to specific projects including change analysis, risk analysis, and manufacturing readiness. Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to the safety, efficacy, quality, cost, or delivery of components and finished devices. Conduct qualification, verification, and validation activities to produce medical devices. Complete engineering work and contribute to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: technology development, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, six sigma, process studies, process improvements, and report preparation. Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures. Design, document, and improve manufacturing processes and operations that control the safety and efficacy of finished devices. Train, develop, and/or provide work direction to operators and technicians. Participate on cross-functional project teams. Coordinate, manage, and document project work and progress, and recommend appropriate revisions. Participate in design control efforts related to risk analysis (failure mode and effect analysis) & design reviews. Interface with product builders or extrusion technicians, production supervisors, and engineers in troubleshooting problems on the production floor. Identify and implement process/product improvement alternatives to increase/optimize yield, efficiency, throughput, and/or performance. Design, develop, testing, and validate equipment and processes; analyze and interpret process models and recommend process improvements. What You Need: Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Welding preferred) 0 years of experience Preferred qualifications: Experience with Fanuc robots Experience with weld parameter development for GMAW Experience with destructive and non-destructive testing of welds Controls, PLC, SQL experience Manufacturing engineering in an FDA regulated environment Previous welding manufacturing experience including validations, process efficiencies, lean manufacturing and manufacturing services experience Ability to read, understand, engineering drawings on common engineering software Minitab, or similar, statistical software Travel Percentage: None Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
