The Kitchen & Bath Cabinet Designer at Studio41 is a showroom sales position offering customers a personalized experience to work through product needs for their remodel or new construction projects. A Designer possesses the skills and experience to guide a customer through all phases of a project from space planning and product selection through installation and project completion.

A Designer must be able to work with both homeowners and trade professionals, from the purchase of a vanity or faucet to a whole house of cabinetry and plumbing. Emphasis is on building and maintaining trade accounts that create a solid foundation of recurring sales and future growth. Qualify customers to learn about what they need and uncover who they are working with to better serve them or to discover opportunities for new trade relationships.

Strong communication skills are required to work with a diverse group of customers to generate opportunities and close sales. Excellent follow up skills and customer service are required to manage expectations throughout a project, and build and maintain relationships and translate directly to strong sales production.

Duties

  • Daily showroom coverage in-store, handling trade accounts and walk-in customers.
  • Produce sales revenue to meet monthly targets towards achieving annual sales goal. Maintain gross profit margin above established minimums.
  • Daily follow up and follow through on customer bids and orders. Keep customers informed and oversee order processing until product has been delivered to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Establish payment terms with customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain product knowledge and keep current with industry trends and innovations.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with trade professionals and understand project management responsibilities to ensure high quality service and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of cabinet design experience and successful project completion, with the ability to demonstrate design work and 20/20 software skills.
  • Three or more years of experience specifying decorative plumbing products.
  • On-time, reliable attendance for scheduled work days.
  • Relationship and project management experience with trade professionals.
  • Established sales performance and ability to create and grow new customer relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a design curriculum desirable.
  • Bilingual language skills desirable.
