ABOUT THE ROLE

The Traffic Signal Construction Technician works on various projects building traffic signals, highway and street lighting, infrastructure and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) within the Denver metro area and other locations within Colorado. The successful candidate will have prior experience building traffic signal projects within the construction industry.

This position will be covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is a union position. All candidates must be willing and able to sign on with the applicable union if hired.

Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I)electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities

Essential Functions

  • Mounting devices
  • Installing poles
  • Drilling caissons
  • Installation of required equipment
  • Wiring of equipment
  • Trouble shooting and integration of required equipment
  • Any other job related duties as requested
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Journeyman level position requires 3 years previous industry experience
  • CDL Class A driver's license
  • IMSA Level 2 certification

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35.35 - $44.43 per hour. This will be a union position. Wage depends on experience and certifications, and benefits are detailed within the applicable collective bargaining agreement -
