Subsurface Construction Company is seeking a Geostructural Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in various excavation support and deep foundation design and soil mechanics.
Position Type:
Full-Time, Salaried
This position will apply technical knowledge to meet all stakeholder expectations for all design projects. The Engineer is to ensure that each completed project meets local codes, regulations, and quality standards and deliver structurally and geotechnically sound systems.
Responsibilities:
- Producing design drawings and calculation submittal for construction.
- Brainstorming with PMs, estimators and construction team and providing preliminary designs for bidding.
- Providing engineering support during construction
- Occasionally assisting field works such as testing and on-site monitoring during construction.
- Work such as testing and on-site monitoring during construction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree with a focus on structural or geotechnical engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural and/or geotechnical engineering and a current Professional Engineering license are required.
- AutoCAD working knowledge.
- Experience with geotechnical analysis software (Snail, Slope-W, L-Pile, Group).
- Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, a positive attitude, effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
