FOOD SERVICE

Job Summary:
West Harvey Dixmoor School District 147  is seeking dedicated and reliable Food Service Workers to work in our school's cafeterias. This candidate will be part of a great team that is always looking to improve the students lunch experience.

Essential Duties:

• Monitoring food at serving areas for fresh appearance and proper holding temperatures
• Washing dishes and utensils, as well as cleaning the food service area during and after service.
• The ability to work rapidly and efficiently in performing job duties.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Serves a large volume of a variety of foods to students at school sites as specified by the menus, recipes, and production records.
• Assists in receiving and storing foods, condiments, and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and item security
• Ensures that all temperatures records are completed on a daily basis.
• Sets up food service areas and serves food.
• Utilizes kitchenware such as, but not limited to spatulas, tongs, spoons, and ladles.
• Assists in the monitoring, reduction, and management of food waste.
• Clean and sanitize tables, carts and counters 
• Performs other related duties as assigned 

Qualifications:
Minimum HS diploma
Excellent communication skills
Experience preferred
***Must be able pass food service certification requirements

Terms of Employment: 
10 month work year
