Our Chemists do important work that provides high quality, defensible data for our clients. In this role you’ll use state-of-the-art equipment & instruments to generate analytical data supporting environmental compliance and decision making. A key aspect of this position involves GC-MS testing (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry).

What Will You Be Doing?
- Generate analytical data to support environmental compliance and decision making
- Perform analyses following SOPs based on approved analytical methods using a variety of analytical techniques, equipment and instrumentation
- Utilize technical knowledge to apply problem solving skills in a focused area of the lab and execute analyses consistently across a range of analytical techniques
- Identify and help implement procedural opportunities for time savings
- Support and participate in quality events such as audits

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related area; OR equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on, laboratory experience with GC-MS
- Starting pay is dependent on experience level
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift & move items weighing approx. 5 to 10 pounds & occasionally lift up to 50 pound.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling
- Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness to make laboratory observations
- Employee is subject to typical lab conditions, including potential exposure to chemicals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
