Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. Candidates must have at least one year experience grooming dogs, including completion of breed specific haircuts. Sudsy Mutts groomers are responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. Our groomers play a key role in building lasting relationships with pet owners through exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Grooming dogs, including bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail clipping.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming needs.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
- Monitor the behavior and health of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary.
- Assist with animal restraint when required to ensure safe handling during grooming procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pet grooming is mandatory.
- Strong skills in animal handling and care, including experience with various breeds and temperaments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment.
