Server

We are seeking friendly, dependable employees for various FOH positions. We are looking for Food Runners and Servers to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen. Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. Server responsibilities are listed below. If you would like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we would love to meet you! To be considered for a FOH position, you must be available to work various shifts, including weekends. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.

Server Responsibilities (subject but not limited to the following):

• Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Help guests select food and beverages by presenting suggestions from the menu, offering cocktails, explaining the chef's specials, and answering food preparation questions
• Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
• Stay updated on current menu choices/specials and knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
• Be alert by responding to additional guest needs and observing dining process
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed and refilling beverage glasses
• Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting guests to return
• Obtain cash or credit card payment by issuing the bill, accepting payment, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Provide welcoming phone greetings
• Convey menu information over the phone to guests and give accurate estimation of meal time completion
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Fill in for absent staff as needed
• Assist with special events as needed
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management

Skills and Requirements:

• At least 6 months previous serving experience required, 1 years preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Multi-tasking abilities
