Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires both teamwork and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and offering assistance with menu selections.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
- Handle food service tasks such as preparing light snacks or pastries as needed.
- Engage with customers to promote sales of beverages and food items while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Skills
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an appreciation for various coffee flavors.
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred.
- Strong sales skills to effectively promote menu items to customers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and coworkers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
