Summerlin Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to join our team!
We're looking for responsible, self-motivated team players who have at least 1 years of clinical experience. Surgery and Anesthesia experience is required. We are excited to bring on a new team member to be a part of the continued growth of our fun-loving team.
This is a great opportunity for a technician who is looking for career growth opportunities and a balanced work schedule. Our schedule is built on four full days, 7:45am-5:30pm and 7:10am-5:30pm on surgery days. No weekends!
Primary responsibilities and experience:
- General exam room duties associated with patient visits
- (Taking TPR's, history, prepping vaccines and medications, entering charges)
- Prepping lab samples for microscopic read or send out to Idexx
- DVMax experience is a plus
- Use of in-house laboratory equipment
- Venipuncture/catheter placement
- Using anesthesia equipment
- Completing digital x-rays
- Completing dental digital x-rays
- Dental scale and polishing
- Providing therapeutic laser treatments
- Assisting in surgical suite (Inducing and monitoring anesthesia, surgical prep, drug calculations)
- Assisting answering phones/making appointments when reception is busy
- Light clean-up duty at day's end and throughout the day
