We are currently seeking Fire Alarm & Security Apprentices to join our team.
This position supports a professional Fire Alarm Technician with the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assists, as appropriate with inspections, service, install and sales on a variety of fire protection equipment including fire alarm systems, and additional fire protection / life safety equipment as skills develop.
- Previous experience is a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned or delegated
- Learn to follow blueprints to meet product specifications
- Learn proper installation techniques
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery-powered equipment
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Proactive approach and attitude towards work
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to lift 10-50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- May be exposed to temperature changes, small spaces, and confined spaces
